Project: A R M Architects
When A R M Architects first approached us, the brief was to construct a standard HTML website. Shortly after the first meeting they changed their minds and opted for a FlashTM animated website instead.
Being professional designers themselves, they had their own distinct ideas about how the website should look.
After some discussion, they submitted a very exacting brief including:
- Precise colour codes for the overall design.
- Precise positioning of text and images.
- Ideas on how the site navigation should work.
- They would supply all text copy and images in digital format.
- Right down to the text font.
This exercise was a surprising deviation from from the usual DISCUSS > BRIEF > DESIGN > DEVELOP > PROOF > IMPLEMENT procedure.
If truth be told, we didn't have a great deal to do on the design front - the chaps at A R M knew exactly what they wanted. ALL we had to do was construct it.
