When an email arrives inthe normal way - Mailfoundry kicks in.
- A reverse DNS lookup is done to see if the email message originated from a known spamming server.
- Next - spam filters are utilised to delete known spam formatted messages or quarantine possible spam formatted messages.
- Next - virus filters are applied to delete messages containing known viruses.
- Mailfoundry then delivers legitimate messages in the normal way.
